In 1720, a terrible epidemic of bubonic plague swept across Europe claiming over 100,000 lives.

1720 + 100 = 1820 :::: Cholera
100 years after the bubonic plague epidemic in Europe, Asia was hit by a cholera epidemic, particularly Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand (Pacific Basin). This epidemic also took more than 100,000 lives, and was caused by contaminated drinking water from natural sources.

1820 + 100 = 1920 :::: Spanish Flu
This epidemic is well documented, much better than the previous ones and is considered to be the last major pandemic to date. A record number of people succumbed to the Spanish flu. Where around 100,000 died from the previous ones, around one billion people suffered from this one, of whom around 100 million died. This epidemic went down in history as the deadliest.

1920 + 100 = 2020 :::: Coronavirus
There may be several causes for this. Noteworthy is that the beginning of this epidemic is again related to the Pacific Basin; the virus spread rapidly from China to South Korea and then to Iran, Europe and America.
