7 Hermetic Principles

The Seven Hermetic Principles

1.) The Principle of Mentalism :
“THE ALL is MIND; The Universe is Mental.”

2.) The Principle of Correspondence ::
“As above, so below; as below so above.”

3.) The Principle of Vibration :::
“Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.”

4.) The Principle of Polarity ::::
“Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites;
like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but different in degree;
extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes may be reconciled.”

5.) The Principle of Rhythm :::::
“Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall;
the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right
is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.”

6.) The Principle of Cause and Effect ::::::
“Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law;
Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation,
but nothing escapes the Law.”

7.) The Principle of Gender :::::::
“Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine principles;
Gender manifests on all planes.”

Knights of the Jaguar

"According to an old Native American legend, one day there was a big fire in the forest. All the animals fled in terror in all directions, because it was a very violent fire. Suddenly, the jaguar saw a hummingbird pass over his head, but in the opposite direction. The hummingbird flew towards the fire! Whatever happened, he wouldn't stop. Moments later, the jaguar saw him pass again, this time in the same direction as the jaguar was walking. He could observe this coming and going, until he decided to ask the bird about it, because it seemed very bizarre behavior."What are you doing, hummingbird?" he asked. "I am going to the lake," he answered, "I drink water with my beak and throw it on the fire to extinguish it." The jaguar laughed. 'Are you crazy? Do you really think that you can put out that big fire on your own with your very small beak?' 'No,' said the hummingbird, 'I know I can't. But the forest is my home. It feeds me, it shelters me and my family. I am very grateful for that. And I help the forest grow by pollinating its flowers. I am part of her and the forest is part of me. I know I can't put out the fire, but I must do my part.' At that moment, the forest spirits, who listened to the hummingbird, were moved by the birdie and its devotion to the forest. And miraculously they sent a torrential downpour, which put an end to the great fire.

The Native American grandmothers would occasionally tell this story to their grandchildren, then conclude with, 'Do you want to attract miracles into your life? Do your part.'" ~ A.A.

Suppression of the Gnostics :::: The Nag Hammadi scriptures and other Gnostic Texts such as the Pistis Sophia contained Ideas that rulers of the time certainly did not want spreading far and wide. These teachings include:

•The existence of three distinct types of human soul-groups:

1. #Hylics: Identified with materialism and base instincts;
the spiritually unconscious who will be extremely difficult
or impossible to awaken.

2. #Psychics: Those who have some spiritual consciousness, but only from a simplified emotional perspective rather than a place of true knowledge. Psychics may be possible to awaken with effort.

3. #Pneumatics: (from the Ancient Greek word πνεύμα, meaning “spirit” & >>>> https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%CF%80%CE%BD%CE%B5%E1%BF%A6%CE%BC%CE%B1) Those who are spiritually awakened; elects/adepts who incarnate to become teachers of spiritual knowledge.

The anima & the animus are described in Carl G. Jung's analytical psychology as part the
"Other people’s perception of you is a reflection of them;
your response to them is an awareness of you.”
