Worlds Without End:

The Many Kinds of

Parallel Universes

  • Parallel universes are a staple of science fiction, but the notion originates in some very important cosmological theories that may help us understand our universe.
  • And if parallel universes really do exist, could we ever travel to one?

Cancún is a city in southeastern Mexico on the northeast coast of the Yucatán Peninsula in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. It is an important tourist destination in Mexico, and the seat of the municipality of Benito Juárez. The city is on the Caribbean Sea, and is one of Mexico's easternmost points. Cancún is just north of Mexico's Caribbean coast resort band known as the Riviera Maya. In older English-language documents, the city’s name is sometimes spelled "Cancoon", an attempt to convey the sound of the name.
The Yucatán Peninsula (Spanish: Península de Yucatán), in southeastern Mexico, separates the Caribbean Sea from the Gulf of Mexico, with the northern coastline on the Yucatán Channel. The peninsula lies east of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec, a northwestern geographic partition separating the region of Central America from the rest of North AmericaThe Yucatán Peninsula comprises a significant proportion of the ancient Maya Lowlands (although the Maya culture extended south of the Yucatán Peninsula, through present Guatemala and into Honduras and highland Chiapas). There are many Maya archaeological sites throughout the peninsula; some of the better-known are Chichen ItzaTulum and Uxmal Indigenous Maya and Mestizos of partial Maya descent make up a sizable portion of the region's population, and Mayan languages are widely spoken there. The proper derivation of the word Yucatán is widely debated. Hernán Cortés, in the first of his letters to Charles V, the Holy Roman Emperor, claimed that the name Yucatán comes from a misunderstanding. In this telling, the first Spanish explorers asked what the area was called and the response they received, "Yucatan", was a Yucatec Maya word meaning "I don't understand what you're saying". Others claim that the source of the name is the Nahuatl (Aztec) word Yocatlān, "place of richness".
Quintana Roo, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Quintana Roo (SpanishEstado Libre y Soberano de Quintana Roo), is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, make up the 32 federal entities of Mexico. It is divided into ten municipalities and its capital city is ChetumalThe area that makes up modern Quintana Roo was long part of Yucatán, sharing its history. With the Caste War of Yucatán, which started in the 1840s, all non-natives were driven from the region. The independent Maya nation of Chan Santa Cruz was based on what is now the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto. For decades it maintained considerable independence, having separate trade and treaty relationships with British Honduras, now BelizeQuintana Roo was made a territory of Mexico by decree of President Porfirio Díaz on November 24, 1902. It was named after an early patriot of the Mexican Republic, Andrés Quintana Roo. The Mexican army succeeded in defeating most of the Maya population of the region during the 1910s. In 1915 the area was again declared to be legally part of the state of Yucatán. Quintana Roo was granted statehood within the United Mexican States on October 8, 1974. It is the Mexican Republic's youngest state.

Tulum (sometimes Tulum Pueblo) is the largest community
It is located on the Caribbean coast of the state,
near the site of the archaeological ruins
of Tulum.

Raw juices are a tool to clear the skin, to reduce inflammation in the skin & to support the detoxification pathways in the liver. You can use for example: citrus, pear, carrot, kale, mint, basil, apple & cabbage. You can make a whole week’s supply of juice at one time & freeze it in glass jars with a lid on top immediately after making it. Don’t forget to leave space at the top of the jar as the juice will expand when it freezes. You need approximately 200 ml or 7 ounces daily.
  E da, nije lako.
Ach ja, es ist nicht leicht.
          Oh well, it's not easy.
