Sam & the Womp 'Bom Bom' Balkan Music w' Modern Electronic & Dance Elements

Sam and the Womp 
are a three piece music group based in the United Kingdom who formed in 2009. Their music mixes traditional elements of
 Balkan music with modern electronic and dance elements.

Their music has been largely popularised by BBC Radio 1 with a heavy promotion of their single "Bom Bom". They released their debut single "Bom Bom" 
on iTunes on 19 August 2012 
and the single went to the number one spot 

As of 2012 they are signed to Stiff Records.

"Bom Bom" was produced by music producer and film composer Raz Olsher at Fossil Studios in Hackney, London, and features Bloem de Ligny as lead singer, who is also a solo artist.


Initially signed to Stiff Records, Sam and the Womp released
 "Bom Bom" under a licensing deal with One More Tune on
 August 20th 2012. The track gained further momentum after being used to soundtrack an international TV advertising campaign for Southern Comfort. The song is also featured in the game Forza Horizon. The track went to number one in the UK Official Singles Chart in its first week of release. Members of the band include Sam Ritchie, who plays trumpet, Aaron Audio who play bass and the Lady Oo on vocals.
